SSC CPO exam pattern
Paper 1
Official SSC CPO 2025 patternGeneral Intelligence and Reasoning · General Knowledge and General Awareness · Quantitative Aptitude · English Comprehension. Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer. Each of the four sections has its own separately timed 30-minute window: there is no shifting unused time between sections, unlike RPF Constable or RRB JE..
Paper 1 is a common screening CBT for Sub-Inspector (Executive) posts in Delhi Police and Sub-Inspector (GD) posts in the CAPFs. Candidates who clear Paper 1 proceed to a Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET), followed by Paper 2 (English Language and Comprehension) and a Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

Official SSC CPO 2025 patternEnglish Language and Comprehension. Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer. Two hours, divided into four parts with a 30-minute timer on each. It is not one continuous window, despite being a single subject throughout.
Paper 2 is a single, uninterrupted 120-minute Computer Based Examination in English Language and Comprehension (spotting errors, fill in the blanks, synonyms and antonyms, idioms and phrases, one word substitution, sentence improvement, para jumbles, cloze test, and reading comprehension), unlike Paper 1's four separately timed 30-minute sections. Paper 2 marks count directly toward the final merit list alongside Paper 1, and are also used as the first tie-breaker when total marks are equal.

How many SSC CPO mock tests are available here?
This page currently has 12 syllabus-checked tests for SSC CPO: 3 full-length mocks, and 9 sectional tests.
Are these SSC CPO tests based on the official pattern?
Yes. Each checked test's question count, marks, duration, and negative marking match the official pattern shown above, with its source and checked date linked.
How long does a SSC CPO mock test take?
A full-length SSC CPO mock here runs 120 minutes, matching the official working time for the paper it reproduces. The timer starts when you begin and the test submits itself when time runs out, so it is worth starting one only when you can sit it through. The shorter tests on this page run from 30 minutes, for when you do not have a full sitting free.
Do these SSC CPO mock tests have negative marking?
Yes. Every SSC CPO test here deducts 0.25 marks for a wrong answer and scores an unanswered question zero, the same as the official scheme it is checked against. Your result breaks out what the deduction cost you, so you can see whether guessing helped or hurt.
Should I start with a full-length SSC CPO mock or a sectional test?
Start with a full-length mock if you have not sat the whole SSC CPO paper under its official timer before: it is the only thing here that tells you whether you can finish in time. Move to the 9 sectional tests once the full mock has shown you which section is costing you marks, and use them to rebuild that one section rather than re-sitting the whole paper each time.
Are these SSC CPO mock tests free?
Yes. All 12 SSC CPO tests on this page are free to attempt, with no account and no paid tier holding back better questions.
