SSC MTS Mock Test 2026

A free SSC MTS mock test series covering the current CBT. The same paper decides the Havaldar posts, so the SSC MTS Havaldar mock test rounds here are the same tests. The paper is 90 questions for 270 marks across two compulsory 45-minute sessions on the same day. Every SSC MTS online test here is free to attempt and scores instantly.

The two sessions are marked differently, and that changes how you should attempt each. Session 1 is 40 questions of Numerical and Reasoning with no penalty for a wrong answer, so leave nothing blank. Session 2 is 50 questions of General Awareness and English, and each wrong answer costs 1 mark against a question worth 3. A blind four-option guess there is exactly break-even, so guess only when you can rule an option out. Session 1 also acts as a gate: Session 2 is evaluated only for candidates who clear it. One difference to note, this SSC MTS test series runs both sessions under a single timer for practice, while the real exam runs them as two separately timed sittings.

SSC MTS exam pattern

CBT

Official MTS & Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025 pattern
Questions: 90
Marks: 270
Duration: 90 minutes

Numerical and Mathematical Ability · Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving · General Awareness · English Language and Comprehension. Negative marking: 0 in Session 1, 1 in Session 2 per wrong answer. Two mandatory 45-minute sessions on the same day.

Session 1 (Numerical and Reasoning) carries no negative marking. Only candidates who qualify Session 1 have Session 2 (General Awareness and English) evaluated, where each wrong answer deducts 1 mark. This mock combines both sessions under one continuous timer for practice purposes; the real exam runs them as two separately timed, sequential sessions.

Frequently asked questions

How many SSC MTS mock tests are available here?

This page currently has 12 syllabus-checked tests for SSC MTS: 2 full-length mocks, 8 sectional tests, and 2 quick practice tests.

Are these SSC MTS tests based on the official pattern?

Yes. Each checked test's question count, marks, duration, and negative marking match the official pattern shown above, with its source and checked date linked.

How long does a SSC MTS mock test take?

A full-length SSC MTS mock here runs 90 minutes, matching the official working time for the paper it reproduces. The timer starts when you begin and the test submits itself when time runs out, so it is worth starting one only when you can sit it through. The shorter tests on this page run from 10 minutes, for when you do not have a full sitting free.

Do these SSC MTS mock tests have negative marking?

It depends on the paper. The deduction for a wrong answer across SSC MTS tests here ranges from 0 to 1 marks, because the stages are marked differently in the official scheme. Each test states its own marks and deduction before you start, and your result shows what the deduction cost you.

Should I start with a full-length SSC MTS mock or a sectional test?

Start with a full-length mock if you have not sat the whole SSC MTS paper under its official timer before: it is the only thing here that tells you whether you can finish in time. Move to the 8 sectional tests once the full mock has shown you which section is costing you marks, and use them to rebuild that one section rather than re-sitting the whole paper each time.

Are these SSC MTS mock tests free?

Yes. All 12 SSC MTS tests on this page are free to attempt, with no account and no paid tier holding back better questions.
