SSC CHSL Selection Process 2025

Staff Selection Commission: Combined Higher Secondary Level

How selection works

SSC CHSL uses Tier 1 for shortlisting and Tier 2 for the next stage of selection. Qualifying computer, skill or typing requirements apply as prescribed for the post.

Stage-by-stage process

  1. Tier 1 computer-based examination

Candidates take the Tier 1 computer-based paper. SSC uses the result and applicable cut-offs to shortlist candidates for Tier 2.

  2. Tier 2 examination

Shortlisted candidates take Tier 2. The prescribed Tier 2 sections and modules must be completed as applicable under the official notice.

  3. Computer Knowledge Test and Skill Test / Typing Test

The qualifying computer, skill or typing requirements apply according to the post. Candidates must meet the prescribed standard where that module is required.

  4. Final merit, post preference and document verification

Final selection follows the applicable Tier 2 result and submitted post preferences. The allotted department verifies original eligibility and category documents before appointment.
