Eligibility at a glance
The unrelaxed age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 1 January 2026. For most posts, candidates need 12th Standard or an equivalent qualification by 1 January 2026.
Age limit
For the unrelaxed age band, the permitted date-of-birth range is 2 January 1999 to 1 January 2008, inclusive.

Educational qualification
LDC / JSA and most DEO posts
12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board or University.
Specified DEO / DEO Grade A posts
12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject, for the departments and posts identified in the official notice.
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination may apply, but they must possess the required qualification by 1 January 2026.
Nationality
The notice permits Indian citizens and specified eligible categories including subjects of Nepal or Bhutan and certain persons of Indian origin. Candidates in categories that require a Government of India eligibility certificate must satisfy that condition.
