UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2026: Civil Engineering Prelims Paper II
The UPSC ESE exam pattern below is checked stage by stage, so one stage cannot inherit another stage's scoring rules.
Stage I Prelims: Civil Engineering Paper II
Review pendingTakeMockTest covers the Stage I Preliminary Civil Engineering Paper II objective paper only. The 300 marks and the 180-minute duration are fixed directly by the UPSC 2026 notice, and marking is 2 marks for a correct answer with one third of that, 0.667 marks, deducted for a wrong one; multiple responses count as wrong and an unattempted question scores zero. The pattern is marked review-pending because the 150-question count is corroborated from the actual current-cycle paper rather than stated in the notice itself. The common 200-mark Paper I on General Studies and Engineering Aptitude is deliberately excluded: it requires current issues of national and international importance, which this site does not self-author. The Stage II descriptive papers and the Personality Test are also out of scope.
