A free SSC Stenographer mock test series for the Computer Based Examination taken by both Grade C and Grade D candidates. Half of this paper is English. The notice sets three separately timed parts, 30 minutes each for General Intelligence and Reasoning and for General Awareness, then a full 60 minutes for English Language and Comprehension, which alone is 100 of the 200 questions. A candidate who prepares this as a general SSC paper with English as one section among three has the weighting wrong by a factor of two. The windows are locked, so time saved in the two 30-minute parts cannot be carried into the English hour. A wrong answer costs 0.25 against 1 for a correct one, so attempting pays from one in five. Grade C and Grade D sit this same paper: what separates them is the dictation speed in the Skill Test that follows, 100 words per minute against 80.
