Eligibility at a glance
Applicants must be Indian citizens, must be 20 to 28 years old as on 1 April 2025, and must hold a recognised graduation qualification by 31 December 2025.
Age limit
For the unrelaxed age band, date of birth must fall from 2 April 1997 to 1 April 2005, inclusive.

Educational qualification
Graduation
A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
Final-year / final-semester candidates
They may apply provisionally, but if selected they must produce proof of having passed graduation on or before 31 December 2025.
Integrated Dual Degree
The passing date on the IDD certificate must be on or before 31 December 2025.
Eligible matriculate Ex-servicemen
The advertisement also recognises the specified Army, Navy or Air Force education certificates for qualifying Ex-servicemen who completed at least 15 years of service.
Recruitment-project restrictions
Candidates apply for vacancies in one State or Union Territory only and may appear for the test only once under this recruitment project. This is a project-specific restriction, not a stated lifetime attempt cap.

Does meeting the SBI Clerk eligibility mean my application is confirmed?
No. Eligibility is self-declared when you apply, and the conducting body accepts the application provisionally on the strength of that declaration. It is verified later, at document verification, against original certificates. A candidate who clears every stage and cannot produce proof of age, category or qualification at that point is rejected then, with the whole cycle spent. Check each condition against your own documents before you apply rather than after.
What is the SBI Clerk exam pattern?
The Prelims stage is 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes. Wrong answers are penalised 0.25 per question. Eligibility decides whether you can sit it; the pattern decides what sitting it involves, and the two are worth reading together before you commit to a cycle.
Can I start preparing for SBI Clerk before the notification is out?
Yes, and it is the better time to start.
