Frequently asked questions

Is this an official RRB ALP question paper?

No. It is an independent practice mock containing original questions mapped to the official RRB Assistant Loco Pilot First Stage CBT syllabus and pattern.

Do my CBT 1 marks count toward final selection?

No. CBT 1 is a screening exam only, and its marks are not counted while preparing the final panel. It is used solely to shortlist roughly 15 times the notified vacancies per RRB into CBT 2, based on normalized CBT 1 merit.

Is there a separate timer for each section?

No. CBT 1 uses a single 60-minute timer for all four sections (Mathematics, Mental Ability, General Science, and General Awareness) combined, so you can move freely between sections within the overall time limit.

Is there negative marking?

Yes. A correct answer earns 1 mark, and a wrong answer deducts one-third (0.33) of a mark. Unattempted questions score zero.
