Indian Navy Agniveer SSR
Read the scope before the numbers. The official Agniveer SSR written test is 100 questions in 60 minutes across four equal sections of 25, with 1 mark for a correct answer and 0.25 deducted for a wrong one. This practice covers English and Mathematics only, 24 questions in 14 minutes at the same equal proportion, because Science and General Knowledge both turn on facts that carry a higher correctness risk in self-authored content. Half the official paper is not built here. On pacing, 36 seconds a question is faster than almost any other defence entry asks for.

The official Indian Navy Agniveer SSR written test has 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes, 1 mark per correct answer and 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer, across four equal sections of 25 questions each: Science, Mathematics, English, and General Knowledge. This mock covers English and Mathematics only, in the same equal proportion: 24 questions (12 each) in 14 minutes. Science and General Knowledge are excluded, since both depend on facts that carry higher correctness risk for self-authored content. This mock is scoped to the SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit) pattern specifically. The separate MR (Matric Recruit) track has a shorter, differently structured test and is not covered here.

That works out to about 36 seconds per question on average, before any time spent reading instructions or revisiting marked answers. The 4 sections are Science, Mathematics, English and General Knowledge. All 4 sections carry 25 marks each, so none of them repays disproportionate preparation and a weakness anywhere costs the same. All sections share one composite timer, so you are free to move between them and spend your time where it earns most.
Navy SSR English and Mathematics marking scheme
- Each correct answer is worth 1 mark.
- A wrong answer deducts 0.25 marks; an unattempted question scores zero.
- A guess therefore breaks even at 20% accuracy: above that it gains you marks on average, below it loses them. A blind guess between four options is right 25% of the time, which is already above that line, so an educated guess is worth making rather than leaving the question blank.
- Worked example: attempt 80 of the 100 questions and get 60 right and 20 wrong, and you score 55 out of 100.
