IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam Pattern

IBPS Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks: Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

The IBPS RRB Office Assistant exam pattern below is checked stage by stage, so one stage cannot inherit another stage's scoring rules.

Prelims

Review pending

Candidates must clear both the sectional and overall cut-offs. Prelims marks are used only for shortlisting; the final merit list is decided by Mains. Timing behaviour is unresolved: whether the 45 minutes runs as one composite window across both sections, or as separate per-section windows, is not established. This site has not read the CRP RRBs XV notification (published 1 September 2026) or its Information Handout directly, and the CRP RRBs XIV notice behind the figures above does not settle the point. Neither reading is published here until a primary document settles it.

Mains

Review pending

Timing behaviour is unresolved: whether the 120 minutes runs as one composite window across all five sections, or as separate per-section windows, is not established. This site has not read the CRP RRBs XV notification (published 1 September 2026) or its Information Handout directly, and the CRP RRBs XIV notice behind the figures above does not settle the point. Neither reading is published here until a primary document settles it. On the rest: confirmed via multiple independent current secondary sources, Mains is 200 objective questions for 200 marks in 2 hours, across Reasoning (40Q/50 marks, 1.25 marks/question), Numerical Ability (40Q/50 marks, 1.25 marks/question), General Awareness (40Q/40 marks, 1 mark/question), Computer Knowledge (40Q/20 marks, 0.5 marks/question), and English Language (40Q/40 marks, 1 mark/question). Marks per question genuinely differ by section, unlike most other Mains-stage exams on this site. This site's Mains content covers Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Computer Knowledge, and English Language only (160 of the 200 objective questions), reproducing the official per-section marks weighting exactly; General Awareness is not built, since it needs current, fact-checked content rather than internally-verifiable calculation or language skill.
