Frequently asked questions
Is this an official GARP question paper?
No. It is an independent practice mock containing original questions mapped to the official FRM Part I Quantitative Analysis syllabus.
Why does this mock cover only Quantitative Analysis, not the whole FRM Part I exam?
Quantitative Analysis is the one Part I topic area built entirely from probability, statistics, and regression, so every answer is independently checkable by calculation. The other three topic areas, and every Part II topic area, require accurate recall of risk-management methodology, regulatory frameworks, and market practice, which this site is intentionally reserving for its standard content-review process.
How is the FRM exam actually scored?
GARP does not disclose a numeric score or exact passing threshold. Both FRM exams are reported as pass or fail only, with quartile feedback (1st being the top quartile, 4th the bottom) for each topic area so you can see your relative strengths and weaknesses.
Is there negative marking on the FRM exam?
No. There is no penalty for a wrong or unattempted answer, so it is always worth attempting every question.
