Twenty-five of these 100 questions sit outside Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, which take 25 apiece. English accounts for 10 of them and Aptitude for 15, and they are the cheapest marks in the paper because neither needs chapter revision to collect. Nothing is deducted for a wrong answer, which removes the only reason to leave anything blank. One hundred and twenty minutes across 100 questions gives 72 seconds each, comfortable enough to reach the end and still sweep back for whatever is unmarked.

Chandigarh University's official CUCET question-paper page confirms the 10+2 Non-Medical PCM route as 100 four-option MCQs (English 10, Physics 25, Chemistry 25, Mathematics 25, Aptitude 15) for 100 marks in 120 minutes, +1 per correct answer and no negative marking. The official Non-Medical pattern lists a fifth 25-question module as 'Chemistry/Computers'; this mock deliberately models the Chemistry route rather than the Computers route.

That works out to about 72 seconds per question on average, before any time spent reading instructions or revisiting marked answers. The 5 sections are English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Aptitude. Physics carries the most, 25 marks of the 100 or about 25%, against 10 marks for English. All sections share one composite timer, so you are free to move between them and spend your time where it earns most.
CUCET 10+2 Non-Medical PCM marking scheme
- Each correct answer is worth 1 mark.
- There is no negative marking, so leaving a question blank can only cost you: an unattempted question and a wrong one score the same zero. Attempt everything.
- Worked example: attempt 80 of the 100 questions and get 60 right and 20 wrong, and you score 60 out of 100.
