How this page is made: the TakeMockTest Editorial Team maintains this series. Every pattern figure below is taken from the official source linked with it and carries the date it was last checked. Questions are written in-house to the published syllabus and audited before release. Read the editorial policy.

UPTET exam pattern

Paper I (Primary)

Official review pending

UPTET Paper I qualifies a candidate to teach Classes I to V. The paper is 150 objective questions for 150 marks in 150 minutes with no negative marking, so a wrong answer and an unanswered one both score zero. Language I is Hindi and candidates choose Language II from English, Urdu or Sanskrit; this site configures Language II as English, which is a TakeMockTest product choice rather than an official restriction, and the Urdu and Sanskrit variants and Paper II are not built here. The pattern is marked review-pending because the UPESSC information booklet was read from a third-party mirror rather than directly from the commission's own site, which could be reached but not read for the booklet itself. UPESSC publishes no per-section time limits, so the sectional durations here are TakeMockTest practice allowances in proportion to each section's question share.

Frequently asked questions

How many UPTET mock tests are available here?

This page currently has 6 syllabus-checked tests for UPTET: 1 full-length mock, and 5 sectional tests.

Are these UPTET tests based on the official pattern?

Yes. Each checked test's question count, marks, duration, and negative marking match the official pattern shown above, with its source and checked date linked.

How long does a UPTET mock test take?

A full-length UPTET mock here runs 150 minutes, matching the official working time for the paper it reproduces. The timer starts when you begin and the test submits itself when time runs out, so it is worth starting one only when you can sit it through. The shorter tests on this page run from 30 minutes, for when you do not have a full sitting free.

Do these UPTET mock tests have negative marking?

No. UPTET carries no penalty for a wrong answer, so every test here scores a wrong answer and an unanswered one the same way, at zero. There is no reason to leave a question blank.

Should I start with a full-length UPTET mock or a sectional test?

Start with a full-length mock if you have not sat the whole UPTET paper under its official timer before: it is the only thing here that tells you whether you can finish in time. Move to the 5 sectional tests once the full mock has shown you which section is costing you marks, and use them to rebuild that one section rather than re-sitting the whole paper each time.

Are these UPTET mock tests free?

Yes. All 6 UPTET tests on this page are free to attempt, with no account and no paid tier holding back better questions.
