Frequently asked questions
Is this official TOEFL content?
No. It is an independent practice mock containing original passages and questions mapped to the official TOEFL iBT Reading section format, as redesigned since 21 January 2026.
What is Complete the Words in TOEFL Reading, and why isn't it in this mock?
Complete the Words is a vocabulary task where you type in missing letters or word fragments to complete partially shown words, worth about 30 of the section's 50 scored items. It is not a multiple-choice format, so it isn't included here; this mock covers the Read in Daily Life and Read an Academic Passage task types instead.
Is there negative marking on TOEFL Reading?
No. Each correct answer earns a point, with no deduction for a wrong or unattempted question.
How is TOEFL Reading scored?
The official test reports a 1 to 6 score aligned to CEFR levels, with an additional comparable 0 to 120 score also shown during the two-year transition period after the January 2026 redesign. This mock shows your raw correct count out of 30 instead.
