Frequently asked questions

Is this an official SSC question paper?

No. It is an independent practice mock containing original questions mapped to the official SSC CGL Tier 2 syllabus and pattern.

What is the SSC CGL Tier 2 negative marking scheme?

A wrong answer deducts 1 mark in every module this mock covers: Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge Test. Unattempted questions score zero.

How many questions are there in SSC CGL Tier 2, and how long is the exam?

150 questions for 450 marks in 135 minutes, across five sectionally locked modules: Mathematical Abilities (30 questions, 30 minutes), Reasoning and General Intelligence (30 questions, 30 minutes), English Language and Comprehension (45 questions, 40 minutes), General Awareness (25 questions, 20 minutes), and Computer Knowledge Test (20 questions, 15 minutes).

Does this mock include the Data Entry Speed Test (DEST)?

No. DEST is a separate 15-minute typing test, qualifying in nature, required only for specific posts. It is not a multiple-choice format, so it is not simulated here; this mock covers the five objective modules only.

Can I move between modules in SSC CGL Tier 2, or is each one timed separately?

Each module has its own fixed timer, matching the official sectional lock. Once a module's timer ends, it closes automatically and you move to the next one; unused time cannot be carried over.

Drill Reasoning and General Intelligence beyond SSC CGL

30 of the 150 questions here are pure reasoning, and reasoning is the one part of a paper that is not exam-specific: a seating puzzle does not change because it appears in a bank paper rather than a railway one. Our Logical Reasoning section pools 750 such questions from across every exam on this site and sorts them two ways: by difficulty, so you can find your level, and by topic, so you can drill the family that costs you time.

It is practice, not simulation: there is no negative marking there, so a score in that section is not comparable with your score here. Use it to build the skill, and come back to this test to rehearse the exam.
