SAT Mock Test 2026

A free Digital SAT practice series for Reading and Writing, 54 questions in 64 minutes, and Math, 44 questions in 70 minutes. Both are fixed-form sets covering every official content domain rather than replicas of the adaptive modules. Every SAT online test here is free.

Nothing is deducted for a wrong answer on the SAT, so a blank is strictly worse than a guess and every question should carry an answer before time runs out. The part this practice cannot reproduce is the adaptive structure: the official test splits each section into two modules, and how you perform in the first decides the difficulty, and therefore the scoring ceiling, of the second. That makes early accuracy matter more on the real test than on any fixed-form set, including this one. Practise the front half of a section as if it were weighted, because on the day it is. These mocks report a raw correct count; the official test converts to a scaled 200 to 800 per section.

SAT exam pattern

Reading and Writing

Official 2026 pattern
Questions: 54
Marks: 54
Duration: 64 minutes

Craft and Structure · Information and Ideas · Standard English Conventions · Expression of Ideas. Negative marking: 0 per wrong answer. Single composite 64-minute timer for all four domains combined: no sectional lock. This is a TakeMockTest-defined fixed-form timing, not a replica of the official two-module adaptive timing.

The official Digital SAT Reading and Writing section is delivered as two adaptive 27-question modules (module 2's difficulty depends on module 1 performance), each passage followed by a single 4-option multiple-choice question. This practice mock uses a fixed, non-adaptive set of 54 questions covering all four official content domains, scored on raw correct count; the official test reports a scaled 200-800 section score instead.

Math

Official 2026 pattern
Questions: 44
Marks: 44
Duration: 70 minutes

Algebra · Advanced Math · Problem-Solving and Data Analysis · Geometry and Trigonometry. Negative marking: 0 per wrong answer. Single composite 70-minute timer for all four domains combined: no sectional lock. This is a TakeMockTest-defined fixed-form timing, not a replica of the official two-module adaptive timing.

The official Digital SAT Math section is delivered as two adaptive 22-question modules (module 2's difficulty depends on module 1 performance), with a calculator permitted throughout. Most questions are 4-option multiple choice; a few require typing in a numeric answer directly (student-produced response) instead of choosing from options. This practice mock uses a fixed, non-adaptive set of 44 questions covering all four official content domains, scored on raw correct count; the official test reports a scaled 200-800 section score instead.

Frequently asked questions

How many SAT mock tests are available here?

This page currently has 10 syllabus-checked tests for SAT: 2 full-length mocks, and 8 sectional tests.

Are these SAT tests based on the official pattern?

Yes. Every checked SAT test matches the official pattern's question count, marks, duration and negative marking, and the source document is linked with the date it was last read. For Reading and Writing, that is 54 questions for 54 marks in 64 minutes.

How long does a SAT mock test take?

A full-length SAT mock here runs 64 to 70 minutes, matching the official working time for the paper it reproduces. The timer starts when you begin and the test submits itself when time runs out, so it is worth starting one only when you can sit it through. The shorter tests on this page run from 11 minutes, for when you do not have a full sitting free.

Do these SAT mock tests have negative marking?

No. SAT carries no penalty for a wrong answer, so every test here scores a wrong answer and an unanswered one the same way, at zero. There is no reason to leave a question blank.

Should I start with a full-length SAT mock or a sectional test?

Start with a full-length mock if you have not sat the whole SAT paper under its official timer before: it is the only thing here that tells you whether you can finish in time. Move to the 8 sectional tests once the full mock has shown you which section is costing you marks, and use them to rebuild that one section rather than re-sitting the whole paper each time.

Are these SAT mock tests free?

Yes. All 10 SAT tests on this page are free to attempt, with no account and no paid tier holding back better questions.
