NISM Mock Test 2026

A free NISM Series V-A practice series for the Mutual Fund Distributors certification, covering the calculation-based portion of the syllabus: NAV and returns, and SIP and growth. Every NISM online test here is free to attempt and returns a section-wise result.

This is a certification with a pass mark rather than a rank, and the pass mark is 50%. That changes the goal: you are not competing for a place, you are clearing a line, and the calculations are the part of the syllabus where a candidate either can do them or cannot. There is no negative marking across the 100-question paper, so nothing should be left blank on the day. Note the scope here: the full Series V-A syllabus also covers mutual fund concepts, regulation, taxation and fund accounting, and this practice covers only the calculation-based questions, which are the most drillable part rather than the whole exam.

NISM exam pattern

Series V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors

Official 2026 pattern
Questions: 100
Marks: 100
Duration: 120 minutes

NAV and Returns Calculations · SIP and Growth Calculations. Negative marking: 0 per wrong answer. Single composite 120-minute timer for the whole 100-question paper: no sectional lock.

The official NISM Series V-A exam has 100 questions of 1 mark each in 2 hours, with no negative marking and a 50% passing score, covering mutual fund concepts, regulation, taxation, and fund accounting and calculations. This mock covers only the calculation-based portion of the syllabus, NAV, returns, SIP, and compounding mathematics, since every answer there is independently verifiable by formula. It does not cover fund categorization rules, regulatory and compliance content, or taxation, since those change with SEBI and tax circulars and require accurate, current recall rather than calculation, the same content-risk boundary applied to this site's other finance and science-heavy sections. This mock matches a proportional 24-minute duration estimate for its 20 questions against the official 100-question, 120-minute exam. This mock shows a raw score; the official exam reports a percentage score against the 50% pass mark.

Frequently asked questions

How many NISM mock tests are available here?

This page currently has 3 syllabus-checked tests for NISM: 1 full-length mock, and 2 sectional tests.

Are these NISM tests based on the official pattern?

Yes. Every checked NISM test matches the official pattern's question count, marks, duration and negative marking, and the source document is linked with the date it was last read. For the paper, that is 100 questions for 100 marks in 120 minutes.

How long does a NISM mock test take?

A full-length NISM mock here runs 24 minutes, matching the official working time for the paper it reproduces. The timer starts when you begin and the test submits itself when time runs out, so it is worth starting one only when you can sit it through. The shorter tests on this page run from 12 minutes, for when you do not have a full sitting free.

Do these NISM mock tests have negative marking?

No. NISM carries no penalty for a wrong answer, so every test here scores a wrong answer and an unanswered one the same way, at zero. There is no reason to leave a question blank.

Should I start with a full-length NISM mock or a sectional test?

Start with a full-length mock if you have not sat the whole NISM paper under its official timer before: it is the only thing here that tells you whether you can finish in time. Move to the 2 sectional tests once the full mock has shown you which section is costing you marks, and use them to rebuild that one section rather than re-sitting the whole paper each time.

Are these NISM mock tests free?

Yes. All 3 NISM tests on this page are free to attempt, with no account and no paid tier holding back better questions.
