Frequently asked questions
Is this an official NIACL AO question paper?
No. It is an independent practice mock containing original questions mapped to the official NIACL Administrative Officer (Generalist) Main Examination syllabus and pattern.
Does this mock include the Descriptive Test?
No. The Main Examination also includes a separate 30-minute Descriptive Test (Letter Writing and Essay, 30 marks) that is not multiple-choice, so it is excluded from this mock. Candidates must qualify it, but it does not count toward shortlisting or final selection.
Why do the four sections have different time limits?
The Main Examination gives Reasoning, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude 40 minutes each, while General Awareness gets 30 minutes, for a combined 150 minutes across all four sections. Each section is sectional locked, so you cannot borrow time from one section for another.
Is there negative marking?
Yes. A correct answer earns 1 mark, and a wrong answer deducts one-quarter (0.25) of a mark, in every section. Unattempted questions score zero.
How is final selection decided?
Final selection is based on the consolidated Main Examination objective score plus interview marks. Prelims marks are not part of the final merit list.
Drill Reasoning beyond NIACL AO
50 of the 200 questions here are pure reasoning, and reasoning is the one part of a paper that is not exam-specific: a seating puzzle does not change because it appears in a bank paper rather than a railway one. Our Logical Reasoning section pools 750 such questions from across every exam on this site and sorts them two ways: by difficulty, so you can find your level, and by topic, so you can drill the family that costs you time.
It is practice, not simulation: there is no negative marking there, so a score in that section is not comparable with your score here. Use it to build the skill, and come back to this test to rehearse the exam.
