MET Mock Test 2026

MET mixes two marking rules in one paper. Forty-five questions are multiple choice, paying 4 marks and deducting 1, and fifteen are Numerical Answer Type, paying the same 4 with nothing deducted for a wrong or blank entry. Those fifteen are free attempts: there is no reason to leave one unanswered, whatever your confidence, and a candidate who skips them out of caution is declining marks that cost nothing to chase. On the multiple choice questions break-even is one in five, so ruling out a single option already makes attempting worthwhile. English carries only multiple choice questions, so the penalty applies to all ten of them. With 120 minutes for 60 questions you have two minutes each, which is where the numerical questions should get their extra time.

MET 2026 B.Tech has 45 Multiple Choice Questions and 15 Numerical Answer Type questions. Each correct MCQ earns 4 marks and each incorrect MCQ deducts 1 mark; each correct Numerical Answer Type question earns 4 marks with no deduction for a wrong or unanswered entry. English carries only MCQs. Sectional and mixed quick-practice tests use TakeMockTest-defined durations for focused practice, not an official MET sectional format.
