LIC AAO Mock Test (Generalist)
A free LIC AAO mock test series for the Generalist post. Prelims is 100 questions in 60 minutes across Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language, and this page covers Prelims and Mains. Every LIC AAO online test here is free to attempt.
Prelims has two rules that pull against each other. There is no negative marking, so every question deserves an answer before its window shuts. But the sections are separately timed at 20 minutes each, so those answers have to be in before that happens. Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude give you 35 questions in that window, which is 34 seconds each. English Language gives you 30, so 40 seconds. Put those together and the habit worth building is simple: spend the last half minute of every section filling in whatever is still blank, because an unanswered question and a wrong one cost the same here.

Official AAO (Generalist) Recruitment 2025-26 patternReasoning Ability · Quantitative Aptitude · English Language. Negative marking: 0 per wrong answer. 20 minutes per section.
English Language is a qualifying section only: it is scored, but those marks are not added to the Prelims ranking. Only Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude (70 marks combined) decide who advances to Mains, and there is no negative marking for a wrong answer anywhere in the paper.

Official review pendingConfirmed via multiple independent current secondary sources: the Mains objective test is 120 questions for 300 marks in 120 minutes, across Reasoning Ability (30Q/90 marks/40 min, 3 marks/question), Data Analysis and Interpretation (30Q/90 marks/40 min, 3 marks/question), General Knowledge and Current Affairs (30Q/60 marks/20 min, 2 marks/question), and Insurance and Financial Market Awareness (30Q/60 marks/20 min, 2 marks/question). There is no negative marking anywhere in the paper for the Generalist post, matching Prelims. This site's Mains content covers Reasoning Ability, Data Analysis and Interpretation, and Insurance and Financial Market Awareness (90 of 120 objective questions); the Insurance and Financial Market Awareness section is built since its content (policy types, insurance/financial terminology, IRDAI, LIC's own history, financial-market basics) is stable and definitional rather than current-events. General Knowledge and Current Affairs is not built, since it needs current, fact-checked content. A separate Descriptive Test (2 questions/25 marks/30 minutes, essay and letter writing) follows the objective test; it is non-MCQ, evaluated only if the objective cutoff is cleared, and is excluded here as it cannot be auto-graded.

Frequently asked questions
How many LIC AAO mock tests are available here?
This page currently has 15 syllabus-checked tests for LIC AAO: 4 full-length mocks, and 11 sectional tests.
Are these LIC AAO tests based on the official pattern?
Yes. Each checked test's question count, marks, duration, and negative marking match the official pattern shown above, with its source and checked date linked.
How long does a LIC AAO mock test take?
A full-length LIC AAO mock here runs 60 to 100 minutes, matching the official working time for the paper it reproduces. The timer starts when you begin and the test submits itself when time runs out, so it is worth starting one only when you can sit it through. The shorter tests on this page run from 20 minutes, for when you do not have a full sitting free.
Do these LIC AAO mock tests have negative marking?
No. LIC AAO carries no penalty for a wrong answer, so every test here scores a wrong answer and an unanswered one the same way, at zero. There is no reason to leave a question blank.
Should I start with a full-length LIC AAO mock or a sectional test?
Start with a full-length mock if you have not sat the whole LIC AAO paper under its official timer before: it is the only thing here that tells you whether you can finish in time. Move to the 11 sectional tests once the full mock has shown you which section is costing you marks, and use them to rebuild that one section rather than re-sitting the whole paper each time.
Are these LIC AAO mock tests free?
Yes. All 15 LIC AAO tests on this page are free to attempt, with no account and no paid tier holding back better questions.
