GATE itself sets no separate General Aptitude time limit, because the whole 65-question paper runs on one unrestricted 180-minute timer. The 27-minute window here is a TakeMockTest practice allowance in proportion to the 15-mark share this section holds of the 100-mark paper, not an official sectional duration. General Aptitude is common to every GATE paper, so this section is the one part of the GATE syllabus that all 30 papers share.
