FMGE 2026 Screening Test
FMGE exam pattern
FMGE 2026 Screening Test
Official review pendingFMGE is the screening examination conducted by NBEMS that Indian citizens and OCIs holding a primary medical qualification from outside India must pass before registration to practise. It is a computer-based test of 300 single-best-answer multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each, taken as two papers on the same day: Part A of 150 questions in the morning and Part B of 150 questions in the afternoon, each lasting 150 minutes. There is no negative marking, and an unattempted question scores zero. A candidate qualifies by scoring at least 150 of the 300 marks, that is 50 per cent, with no separate cut-off for either part. TakeMockTest mirrors that structure with two tests of 150 questions rather than one 300-question sitting, which matches how the exam is actually taken. NBEMS does not publish a subject-wise question distribution, nor which subjects appear in which part, so the spread across the nineteen MBBS subjects is a TakeMockTest editorial balance and each part samples all nineteen rather than being split by subject. Questions are written to stable, curriculum-level material from standard undergraduate textbooks and deliberately avoid drug dosing and guideline specifics that change between editions; they are examination practice, not clinical guidance. The pattern is marked review-pending because natboard.edu.in cannot be reached from the environment that maintains this catalogue, so the counts, timing and marking above rest on consistent secondary-source corroboration rather than a directly read information bulletin.
