CSIR UGC NET Mock Test 2026

Part A: General Aptitude. Negative marking: 0.5 per wrong answer. There is no official Part A timer. The single 180-minute limit covers Parts A, B and C together, and how much of it goes to Part A is the candidate's own decision.

Part A is the General Aptitude section common to every Joint CSIR-UGC NET subject paper. Twenty questions are displayed and a candidate may attempt at most fifteen of them, each worth 2 marks with 0.5 deducted for a wrong answer, so the most Part A can contribute is 30 marks. The syllabus is logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical ability, numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation and puzzles, all of it verifiable without subject knowledge, which is why this is the one part of the paper built here. Parts B and C are subject-specific for Chemical, Earth, Life, Mathematical and Physical Sciences and are not built. The duration row is deliberately blank: NTA publishes one 180-minute limit for the whole A, B and C paper and no standalone Part A timer, so there is no official figure to print. This site offers a fifteen-question scored practice set rather than a twenty-question simulation, because fifteen is the number a candidate actually attempts and the set is practice rather than a reproduction of the paper.
